Kiyomi Library

Subject: Kiyomi Library Fri Apr 22, 2016 8:00 pm

This is a large library located in the heart of Kita University. Most students can be found studying for exams, reading, or just chilling out in the library. Kiyomi offers lots of books, some that are as old as time it seems. Almost all of the books located here were written by supernatural creatures. The library is named after its creator, and the school's principle at the time of its creation, Kiyomi.

A small figure was hunched over in one of the chairs in the center of Kiyomi Library. This wasn't an odd sight, as this damsel tends to visit this area in Kita University more often then not, her hair sprawled out across her back, in slight black waves. Her eyes, though they seemed lifeless, were not the source of her emotions, as most people's were. Her clock eye was odd, and it gave nothing away, as it wasn't real. Her right eye, though real, was partially blind, as she couldn't see farther then her own outstretched arm. Her face was extremely close to the book, trying to take in all of the words with her one, somewhat good eye. She was a strange character, and it didn't take a genius to figure it out. Couldn't see, yet she read. Was a wolf, yet she didn't stay in the forest like the other wolves. It made no sense to the Kita University students, and thus is why they found it funny to pick on her, however, they're not always ready for her remarks.

She sighed as she read the book, making her own little notes in the side of the book, everything they had gotten wrong, what she found humorous, whatever caught her attention is what she wrote there. She set down her book, threw her head back over the back of the chair and sighed, closing her eyes. She crossed her ankles beneath her, looking a bit more like a polite lady then a teenage wolf. She jumped when the doors to the library slammed shut, her eyes opening, yet she couldn't see who had exited or entered the room.

Aramii stormed into the library, angrily slamming the door behind her, this earned the demon a few frightened glances from the other students, noticing these glances, she smiled faintly. The female strode across the room, her head held high, her silver hair streamed behind her head, her spine was straight with her shoulders held even, she soon reached a bookshelf, it towered above her as she searched the shelf. Her pinkish eyes scanned countless books, old worn and leather bound, she loved all of the tales contained within their two covers, however, her favorites were about poetry. Other students did not know this about Aramii, as it was one of her closely guarded secrets. Sometimes the demon even wrote some of her own.

A single book caught her eye, the ornate book was leather-bound, beads of turquise sewn into the cow hide, Aramii gently removed the old tome from it's resting place and held it in her arms, walking over to Aria, she sat down, she muttered a quick greeting, and, eager to discover the secrets held between the pages of her book, she opened it to the first page, the yellowed pages were frail and even had stains on them, tea, it looked like. Aramii smiled to herself as she ran her fingers across the words, she loved the sensation of the paper folds under her fingertips, they calmed her and even somewhat soothed her eternal anger.

The whole time Aramii moved, so did Aria's cranium, thought she couldn't see what she was doing, she listened to her footsteps to locate her until her greeting came from her side. "What has you so angry today, fair Aramii." Just to add a favorable mood, she did an awkward bow in the presence of her friend, even as she was sitting. She lifted her cranium and narrowed her eyes, however only her right eye showed as her left eye tended to freak out the other students at the university. Aria looked down at the book see was previously reading, pushing it further away, crossing her legs at the knee and folding her hands together on her thighs, looking more professional than anything else. A pop came from her knuckles, and it startled her until she looked down and realized she was popping her knuckles. She chuckled softly at her obliviousness, but quickly turned to Aramii. The anger seemed to be leaving her, but she was still curious.

"Ah, anger you ask?" Aramii's eyes never left her book as she responded to her friend's question. "it's just that... it's just that I can't comprehend why creatures of light are so much more respected then us creatures of darkness, I mean, we're both powerful, why do humans not test on them as well?" for the first time since she sat down, Aramii's eyes lifted from her book, her hatred for humans had grown in the past year, as more of her friends' trauma from the lab emerged. She sighed in quiet anger as a student glanced at her and began to whisper. Standing up, she walked over to the male, her eyes had a glint in them, the supernatural who had been gossiping shrunk away, his eyes widening in terror as Aramii drew her blade. She growled and sliced off the male supernatural's bangs, leaving a small cut on his forehead. "Next time it will be more than your bangs I'm slicing off." She growled. The demon stalked back over to her werewolf friend. "Anywhoo, It's just that as more of yours and Kurt's trauma emerges, the more that the creatures of light call us 'freaks'." Aramii gritted her teeth, there had been days when Kurt had been struck by a full-on panic attack just at the sight of a needle and scalpel.

Aria, though she knew she shouldn't, began to laugh. "Im pretty sure they don't test on the creatures of light and instead test on us to figure out if its just our sanity slipping or if, for example, you slicing that kids bangs is genetic." Aria narrowed her eyes, "seriously though..." she began losing her voice and pushed the remained of the words out. "Creatures of light usually don't go around threatening others." Aria gave her friend a pointed look, as if warning her friend of what could come from scaring the kid. The damsel crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back into the chair, her black hair falling straightly behind her, but some of her hair managed to flow over her shoulders.

Aramii shrugged, "It's probably both for me.." she grumbled, "And you know I don't care about consequences as long as they don't harm you or Kurt." She looked at the kid, who's frightened eyes were traveling around, as if looking if anyone else would threaten him. School would be getting out soon. Aramii glanced over her shoulder as Kurt walked through the doors, his arms were full of textbooks and science papers. The demon chuckled, getting up to help him carry his books, the only reason she had any friends was because of the fact that she had met them before she went completely insane. Kurt nodded his thanks as they neared Aria, Kurt sat down on the floor between the werewolf and Aramii and began to read through one of his books on black holes. "Hey Aria." He greeted without looking up. "Did you know a black hole is impossible to look directly at?" the eidolon was full of random space trivia, but he dreamed of going to the moon one day, so he hoped it would aid him.

The lupine shifters eyes narrowed and she laughed softly. "You're the only one who would know somethingnlike that, Kurt." She turned over to Aramii. "Trust me we both know." Aria smiled brightly at her two friends, her false eye seeming to shine from under her bangs. She quickly moved to completely cover her clock eye, as it tended to scare the other students. "This damn eye is nearly impossible to hide." She grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest.

Aramii chuckled to herself, "Why bother then? I don't bother to hide my scars." She nodded at the scars on her wrists and pointed to the large mound of pink tissue on the back of her neck. Kurt sighed, he knew Aramii hardly harmed herself anymore, but he couldn't help but be worried about her. "Besides, I think your clock eye is cool." The demon added, closing her book so she could pay her friend more attention.

Aria, who was usually calm and indifferent about almost everything, turned to look Aramii and snapped. "Cool?" She yelled before continuing in almost a growl. "Nothing about this situation is 'cool', Aramii! Must I remind you this damn eye is only a reminder about how cruel the scientist was! That scientist is the reason my life is close to a living hell!" Aria bowed her head, her voice had cut off abruptly, another thing caused by the scientist. She remembered that day vividly, and before long she was even back in the time. In the real world, however, she was crying, tears falling from her face, while in her 'dream like state' she was being tortured, then it showed the damsel attacking and later killing the scientist with the best of her abilities. She bared her jaws, her canines becoming more wolf like. "Aramii... this isn't cool at all." She sighed, her throat aching, her voice almost non-existent. The young lupine shifter climbed to her feet and walked out of the library, her head slightly bowed.

Aramii rose quickly and followed her friend, "I'm sorry, I was honestly trying to help... I didn't think and I feel awful." Kurt was close behind her. Aramii truly did feel bad, and she wanted to make it up to Aria. Just as the demon was about to say this, An alarm blared, it shrieking was so sudden that even Kurt didn't see it coming. Aramii swore under her breath and clapped her hands over Aria's ears. Her own ears were paining her, but she knew her werewolf friend's hypersensitive ears would be in a much greater pain. "Everyone get in the emergency bunker!" The principal ordered on the intercom. Students filed out of the library. Aramii and Kurt stayed where they were. They weren't going to move without Aria.

Even with her friend covering her ears, the lupine yowled out. She quickly swiped Aramii's hands away and she instead curled into a ball, her arms wrapped firmly around her head in an attempt to protect them. "I guess Kita University could care less about their werewolf students." Aria's voice was still barely there and the siren only made her voice cut off completely as she winced in pain, gritting her teeth which had finally went back to 'human' teeth. 'This is absolute nonsense' she thought to herself, closing her eyes and whining softly, which made her sound more wolf like. "We need to... We need to go to the bunkers." Her voice had finally come back and she yelled out, hoping it reached her friends ears clearly. "We can't just stay here." She had lifted her head to speak but quickly wrapped her arms over her head again. After a minute of waiting she climbed to feet, arms still wrapped firmly around her cranium.

Aramii nodded, and Kurt let out a yell, "GET DOWN!" the demon had just barely ducked before three shards of serrated ice flew over her head. Kurt's eyes had begun to blaze, and an icy creature entered the library, the alarms had finally ceased. "Run! I'll take him!" Aramii yelled, shifting into her demon form. Shadows drifted from her as she ran forward, slashing at the icy creature with long black talons.

Aria watched after Aramii and in a weak voice she whispered the Kurt, hoping he was able to hear her voice. "We can't just leave her." The sirens were still blaring but Aria fought through it, releasing her arms from around her head and digging her nails into the palms of her hand to keep her from replacing them. She got to her legs and shakily pulled out one of her knives. Aria looked over at Kurt with a raised eyebrow, "You in, or are you going to be a coward and run?"

Unknown to Aramii or Aria, Kurt was silently slowing time, it stood almost still. He broke into a sprint, but to those around him, he was a blur, he sliced at the ice creature, cutting off one of it's fingers. It howled and threw ice shards at him, which Aramii skillfully clawed away. "Does it look like it?" Kurt jokingly called over his shoulder. This distraction gave the ice creature time to hurl an ice shard into his leg. After cursing in Italian, he smiled at his friends to let them know he was alright.
